This morning we went to a beautiful, 1940s-style cafe. Dark wooden booths, music from the era, and, most importantly, good coffee. All just a short bike ride from home.
We were initially sitting by the door, but moved back to my favourite table, covered with vintage advert posters. I would have liked to get more pictures of it, but it was pretty busy and I felt very self conscious.
I wore my pink knitted beret, and it was so warm that I didn't need my leather jacket – Spring is definitely springing. A wool cardi over my striped blouse was enough to keep warm.
On the way home, we went past some beautiful old cottages with blue stone stairways leading up to their front doors.
Now we are off to meet up with some friends at a rubbish local pub – hopefully we can encourage a migration to somewhere better! There's plenty to chose from around here.
