blue silk dress, part two

I realised it is a month to the day that I last wore my blue silk, peter pan collar dress. I have been meaning to wear it as a day time outfit, and today was the day.

This morning was sunny and blue skies and all very promising, but this is what the sun looked like this afternoon:

It is also raining and absolutely freezing.

I wore it with my little vintage cricket jumper. I am glad I wore my thick ribbed grey tights. I had originally been planning to wear the beret, but the leather jacket was a last minute necessity... come back, Spring! How is your new season going?

I'm glad to hear that Canberra isn't the only place experiencing schitzopherenic weather: it's driving me batty!

I love that dress of yours, and this whole ensemble looks really great.

I agree with Grant! Our weather has been shite-ful to say the least. You look so cosy and warm though!

It's the same here, very, very cold. I love the dress and I think the beret is a beautiful touch.

Oooo, thick tights were the order of the day unless you were indoors I think!
I love this outfit, you always put colours and tones together perfectly. I meant to tell you that your hair looked superb the other day too!

Great pics, I love how you always have great backdrops to your pictures. Melbourne Spring weather is pretty unpredictable...it was freezing today!

Lurrrve it all. Especially that fab grey jacket. Spring is always the dicey-est, don't you think? Fall is a gradual progression, usually, but spring weather is decidedly patchy. At least, it is around these parts!

Grant: this bad weather seems to be everywhere, I hate it too! Thanks very much!

lady smaggle: thank you! But yep, waaayyy too cold yesterday.

a dreamer: touch wood today is not windy yet... thanks! I love peter pan collars.

Skye: I know – and to think that on Saturday, I had bare legs!

Nita-Karoliina: thanks! It must get soooooo cold where you are, and dark early, but there must be a fun side to it too? Snow?

LookingGlassGirl: for once I actually want it warm... and thank you! :)

Lady Melbourne: absolutely, I should have had thick gloves, too! Thank you! And thanks about the hair, I am still looking for a way of up without hairspray...

judy: thank you :)

Miss Karen: thanks very much! Ooof, Melbs' weather is so extreme and harsh...

Blogette: thanks! I really do like the collars...

Miss_Red: thanks very much! I know, just like winter!

wottoncool: thanks! :)

Sal: thanks! Melbs can be all over the shop weather wise all the time, but hopefully spring will settle in soon, it used too!

I really like the cricket jumper, especially with the Peter Pan collar out the top, and the pairing of the colour with the blue and your grey tights. Yes, I like this a lot.

Hailey @ stylesymmetry.com: cool, will you post it? I want to see! :)

a cat of impossible colour: thanks, me too, so it makes sense to actually wear it more. :)

Saorise, the Irish nymph: thank you :D

WJ: thanks! I am consciously trying to wear non-Autumn colours, but it's hard when it's so cold... :)

and the colours you used in your outfit are perfect for the weather.
