A little madness in the Spring is wholesome...

Well, haven't things changed?! After all the lovely sunshine, this week started with freezing cold, rainy weather. And I was just talking about packing away my heavier winter things... ha!

floral corduroy dress – thrifted
white tights and purple socks – sportsgirl
red boots – river island, late last century

Today the rain has eased up a little. I thrifted this '70s-esque corduroy dress the weekend before last, and didn't think I'd get to wear it for months. But it was perfect for today, and, with boots and socks layered over tights, I managed to keep warm. Come back, Spring, I miss you!

crapola pics from my flickr for wardrobe remix ;)

On Sunday I made a stripy bow belt, inspired by Sally Jane Vintage and, erm, me! I've had this stripy fabric belt for a few years (it came with a skirt) and wore it a few times. I love the stripes, but the bow, being a tied one, was just too floppy. A little nudge in the right direction, a few little stitches, and I have a firm bow belt. I also found – at last! – a little vintage Gladstone-shaped handbag on Saturday. I am absolutely chuffed with this, as I have been looking for months and months (and missed out on a few due to my dallying) and now I've got one! Actually the reason I was thinking of packing up my winter clothes is that we saw loads of great old cases and big gladstones, and are planning on organizing things... soon.

Haha, I was just looking at ribbon yesterday to make one of those belts! Looks fabulous. I love that you said those boots at "late last century", haha cute, must use that! Paticularly like the layering with white tights.

I love the bag in the last picture, gorgeous colour and shape. The stiff bow-belt looks great too, I think it would suit the outfit more than a big floppy bow.
