Another lush green spot.

Well, sort of. In fact, I am in the industrial part of Preston, and this trail is just meters away from some big factories and a lot of delivery trucks. I started working out here (in a studio, not the great outdoors) yesterday, in a new, permanent job. Maybe not the most exciting part of town, but this bit is pretty cool. It is good to make the most of things.

This scenic haven is just down a little hill, and I am almost knee deep in grass with 270 degree views of, well, country side. Birds, flowers, butterflies, even blue dragon flies... it's a lovely place to have lunch.

Today, rain was forecast, so I bought my multi-tasking umbrella-parasol (brolly-sol?) along, to keep the sun off in the middle of the day and the possible rain off when going home.

I am, at last, also reading more again. After months of wanting nothing but lite 'n' fluffy (too much time alone does that to you), I am finally working up to something a little more... involved. Hemingway for now. Border Trilogy, here I come...

What a boon to be working near that lush parkland. I'm sure you'll make the most of it, as you've done in these gorgeous shots. Big congrats on the job, lady!

Awesome photos. Plus your lace ups are perfect. Hope the new job is going well.
Peter pan collars + your shoes = outfit love.
I love how you pair the caridigan with the dress and belt. Wow, the surroundings remind me of a picture of the romanticism (but, well, I'm in love with trees anyway :) )
you are adorable, as always :) and wow, it's so GREEN there!
beautiful!
your pictures-- and your blog-- are magical. I need to buy myself a parasol. I always had a fantasy about hanging it upside-down from my ceiling.
Wow, what a gorgeous combination! <3
You've inspired me hat to wear tomorrow! :)
Bye dear!
hey, i changed my blog that there shows only 8 days in one page. does it help to upload it quiker? some others has said the same, i have so much stuff :)
by the way, good look!
Lovely pics. Thank you for the comments on the advent calendar I've been making. With your design skills I am sure yours would be fantastic. I am thinking of designing something printed for sale at the markets next year. And, no you're not too old to be a Girl Guide. You can be a Guide until you're 30, and a leader anytime from 18. And, it seems you like the outdoors. All good.
The perspective in the last photo is stunning. I love your vintage shoes, the point at the ends is great.
that dress is so pretty! i love peter pan collars
You really have the knack for finding lovely places! I can't believe this is in Preston of all places. Love the dress, shoes and brolly.. and I also love the word 'brolly' :)
Oh my goodness, how romantic! These photos are beautiful and the world looks so peaceful! I love it.
