time

Time.

Too much, get a bit vague and go a bit mad.

Too little, get a bit frustrated and go a bit mad.

I have not had as much time as I would like lately.

Still, I believe it is important to take some time to get away from it all when you can. Even if it's just a little.

Today, I wore my new blue and white floral skirt, thrifted a few weeks ago from my new favourite op shop In Brunswick. Run by lovely old ladies (with a few good stories to tell, believe me), things there range from 50 cents to a whole $3. Just like ye goode olde oppe shoppe. This outfit is a staple of mine; the individual pieces change but the idea is the same: floral, knits, and chunky sandals over tights. I love this pattern on the skirt, and the tiny flowers blended in with my surroundings during my time out.

it was raining a little bit

merino jumper – country road
blue floral skirt – thrifted
grey ribbed tights and tbar platform sandals – sportsgirl

music the devastations he wasn't like that when i knew him

I don't think I will ever get tired of photos taken in this lovely little spot.

I love 'real' op shops - where everything is dirt cheap and there are home made cakes for sale at the register! We need more of them!

This outfit is gorgeous. Those shoes are just wonderful.

How fun to thrift at a place with great prices, ADORABLE dresses, and old hens with stories to share.

How beautiful! And I agree with you and all the commenters, that's the best kind of op-shop, and the one where you unearth the most treasures.

Isn't it crazy that we need to wear tights again...what happened to summer?
Lovely outfit, I really adore those shoes and the sweet floral print is a nice contrast to the thick tights.

Love the first few photos the most, and what a lovely place you've found for yourself to take photos in - it looks lovely, and i've bought out the winter woolen tights too, where is summer?

the skirt is charming.

sitting in the grass looks so relaxing. and it makes for a beautiful picture.

the opshops in my area have been receiving fake notes...which is a real shame. so the old ladies have become a little less lovely and more on guard.

I really like your shoes! Also, to answer your question about the Northcote market, it was actually a school fete/market at the Northcote high school that was a few months ago, it was held to raise money for charity. I asked one of the store holders and she said it happens annually!

Gorrrrgeous photos! You look absolutely beautiful.

Also, The Devastations! Have you heard their cover of The Cure's All Cats Are Grey? I've been trying to find it everywhere to no avail, I must scour the internet some more....

I agree with Shannon, I don't think I'll ever tire of seeing your take on your surroundings.
Curious about the op shop you've found and whether it's one I go to!

a dreamer: that's so low! I hope that is stopped soon; they especially don't deserve that!

porcelain blonde: thanks, it's because of the snazzy camera I got to use! (It's not mine though, sadly!)

Miss Karen: that sounds cool, I'll have a bit of a hunt myself...

LM: it's tuked away just of Glenlyon Rd, near Sydney Rd... Sat 10-1 and that's it all week; olde shoppe hours too!

Esme,
What type of camera do you use? I know very little about digital cameras but I want one that is user-friendly, not TOO expensive, and helps me take poetic pictures (like yours!)

Hello, beautiful lady!

Just wanted to stop by and say Merry Christmas, as I won't be on the internet so much for the next couple of days (I think). Hope you have a lovely day! It has been great getting to know you through your blog. :)

Lots of love

HollyG: aw, thanks! I usually use my Canon IXUS 70, a digital point and shoo from a few years ago – it is now really quite cheap, and I cannot recommend it enough; it is fantastic. Here I borrowed my work's camera, a Nikon digital SLR, which is incomparably better – I hope to get a DSLR soon (a Canon, though) in the next few days. I hope that helps; I know nish about cameras either though! :D

a cat of impossible colour: thanks, you too! Have a great time!

Q's Daydream: ooh, thanks very much!
