green lace dress

I have been painting a bedroom for the last few days. During this time, I have learned that the walls are not, in fact, walls at all, but sponges. Thirsty, thirsty sponges. I am halfway through. I love the colour, though – a pale, vintage-y mint green (mintage?) that I think will look good when it is finished. I also think this painting inspired me to wear a pale green lace dress today. It is a vintage home made one I found at an op shop a few months ago. I love this kind of lace, substantial and light at the same time, a little see through here and there, but still completely modest. This dress is one of my favourite op shop scores of all time.

dress vintage, thrifted
stockings (the retro seams. and i have to add that wkd has the best customer service ever, really above and beyond the call of duty.)
shoes and i suppose i can consider them to be getting old now :) about a year old
