victory rolls!

Wow, three nights in a row! My goodness. When I said the other night that I usually wear my hair kind of coiled-y rolled-y, it wasn't until afterwards I realised this wasn't exactly true. I have been working on the victory rolls, too! Now, I am still a novice here (I do wonder if experienced vintage hair ladies might point and scoff, or point out flaws... go easy on me, it's all rather new!), and this after a long day at work (and two hours under enormous headphones) but I am still very happy with them. All I need now is a flower! I am hoping tomorrow I will meet one, but we'll see... anyway, it is the end of another working week for me! Happy weekend everyone! xxx

and hello again!

Another quickie post with ze flash :) I want to do this again in daylight, as there is so much a flash makes impossible. But anyhoo. I said yesterday I mostly wear my hair rolled, which is true. But it is fun to do different things, and I am having so much fun with my blond hair for now – it can't last forever! When it is freshly washed, I don't like to put any product in, and so simply plaiting it back off my face feels nice. I wore my new (for me) '30s silk blouse, with a wool skirt, cardigan, beret, and ribbed tights... it is winter here, and it was pretty cold. I love the detailing on this blouse, with the pleats at the front and the little buttons that do it up at the back. (I will show these soon, I'm sure.) Definitely a new favourite. Now I am off to watch Madmen and set my hair – good night! xxx

a quick hello!

Time flies, doesn't it? Just a quick hello for now :) I have taken to wearing my hair like this almost every day now. I love it rolled. Now to find a good way to curl my hair! I have seen a fantastic tutorial here, and cannot wait to try it.
