sailor shorts and sunshine

sailor shorts8

So, I promised more outfit posts, and then disappeared... with perfect timing, we had a sudden cold snap here, and then I got a cold. I needed a little pick-me-up today, so I biked off to get one of my favourite magazines – sometimes the wind in my hair (albeit through a helmet) and an afternoon of pretty pictures are just what I need. And, to ride to shops, my sailor shorts, a light cardigan, and hair that could fit under those lovely helmets were called for.

A couple of weeks ago, I started thinking about what I want to add to my wardrobe this winter. Black ankle boots with a very high heel, a black vintage hat with netting and a knee length coat for everyday are on my wishlist. The search begins!

But for now it is still summer, and I am happy it is warming up again.

The lace on the sleeve of the dress on your window looks interesting and beautiful.

How do you take such beautiful picures?

That cold snap we just had had me thinking of winter dressing also. I promptly racked up a few pages of favourites on my Etsy account....I have much the same plans as you....already bought the netted hat! ;-P
And a knee length wool coat in either navy or grey. Though I did spot a FANTASTIC yellow one which was way too expensive but just STUNNING on Etsy...
And still ever on the hunt for midheel knee lenght GREY boots. So damn hard to find! I am so sick of the black and tan in the shops.

Artistic photos! I always enjoy your shoots, the technique of transparency. You look ethereally.

The sailor shorts are adorable and go so sweetly with the scarf! I just picked up some ankle boots with a heel that scares me but every heel scares me a little. Good luck with your winter wardrobe search!!

I too am thinking about winter outfits and am on the look out for cute ankle boots with a high heel.

I saw a pretty pair in black with cute ruffles / frills today in a shop in Brunswick st, I think I might have to go back to get them!

Love your blog :)

We are at the tail end of our winter and I still want a knee-length coat. I have one that's mid-thigh that I have practically lived in, but I would love to go longer.

i love your plays with transparency in almost all of your pictures, and your lighting is always beyond gorgeous. i've only read one edition of frankie, but it was great! it's really difficult to find where i live, though.

Hope you're feeling better!
An outfit that is both nautical and lacey is a winning combination for fighting a bad cold!

Boy do those Tara shorts look good! If only my grip on the purse strings wasn't so tight at the moment.
They go lovely with the rest of your outfit :-)

Beautiful photos.

Adorable! And I agree with Lola about wishing Brisbane was cooler. As a vintage dealer it is so inspiring to see someone with a true passion for vintage, and completely rocking the style! Fantastic.

Hello everyone :)

Would anyone happen to know where I could purchase a playsuit/romper Sewing pattern? I've found the loosefit ones but I want ones that are sorta tight fit around the torso. I reeeeally would like to make one :)

Thanks guys xo
