denim shorts (and red dots, and bows)

shorts red dots2

Yesterday I had an evening of standing around drinking wine, leaping about (in an organised way, mind) to the Buzzcocks and Acca Dacca and then dinner at my friends' house. Not a sequence of events I'm used too, but it was fun! Now, I do most things in heels, but not all – some things, such as said leaping, require sensible, comfortable shoes. And these are they... I got them nos from etsy, and I think they are literally nurse shoes. Very comfortable and bouncy, which is important, you know, for bouncing.

I love these denim shorts. They have detachable straps, to make them into kind of dungarees. Perfect for casual yet energetic outings :) I had to make the puff sleeves on the blouse smaller, and I am absurdly proud of how I did this. I love the big bow on the back. Reminds me of the bow I want on the back of this winter's trench coat...

ps the lighting yesterday was (clearly!) not ideal, due to massive rain storm that made it very dark (and the streets very flooded, and my roof very leaky)

I found some similar shorts in Dangerfield. Alas, they have no detachable straps. I love the nursey shoes, too. Very cute!

Sweet outfit! Love the bow at the back of the top and your hair is gorgeous! Are the the white shoes soft and "slidey" on the bottom or are the soles made of rubber? My sister loves swing dancing and she'd want your outfit AND the shoes! ;) xx

Danielle: they are rubber, super grippy, not good for swing unfortunately!
