fur, first time

Photobucket

Well what a change this is from yesterday's post! The temperature has dropped here, so now it feels more like winter than anything else. It's a bit of a shock to the system, and changes any earlier plans I had for Autumn outfits, but I 'spoooose don't mind it. Today I wore my fur shrug for the first time. It wasn't how I imagined wearing it a few weeks ago, but I enjoyed it all the same. I am still enjoying a kind of '60s + '70s thing (I thank my record collection for this) and, as I am doing things a little differently already, this is my study – I want to find little floral curtains for the book case, for those bottom shelves... I might just paint it, too!

Oh yes, I almost forgot: I have updated my sales blog!

Thanks as always xxx

Another gorgeous outfit. You are stunning, as always :) Adore the headband, boots and the study. Your house looks lovely! I miss wooden floorboards :(

I NEED those shorts, love them. The whole outfit works so well, as all of yours always do. I'm so surprised about the weather too. Good surprised though but I guess that's how Melbourne is. Nice post darling :)

Awesome... you'd fit in in "Almost Famous" - I love that movie. Love the shrug - I'm always entranced by vintage furs when I see them, but I've never been brave enough to get one myself.

what wonderful taste and sense of style you have! vintage pieces you select are so beautiful with wonderful details not found in clothing today. thank you for sharing. i'm always amazed how i stumble upon blogs like yours, but it happens by being curious i think + looking at others links too. looking forward to more fun vintage, and modeled as old hollywood, as one who loves the oldies, appreciated. ciao, gia

You're so glamorous! I love this look :) If only the weather in Brisbane would cool down to.

Really dislike the fur (don't see the need to adorn roadkill for the sake of a fashion statement myself, but this of course is a personal opinion) however, the rest of the ensemble works quite well.

Thanks! Wow, it's still hot up there?! I can't wait to visit Brisbane, it sounds amazing (if hot).

I know fur, vintage and new, (but not road kill) is a charged topic and I respect different opinions about it. I would be a hypocrite to dislike it for ethical reasons, as I am wearing new leather boots that I don't actually need. I have more issues with that, I think... Glad you like the rest, though :)
