1950s green dress, pale pink bow

Photobucket

I got this 1950s dark green linen dress months ago, and couldn't wait to wear it. I love the pale pink velvet bow; it was stitched in but I unpicked that and gave it studs instead, which not only makes washing a whole lot easier, but gives me the option of using different ribbons! Which is nice :) I have found that the fabric (possibly a silk linen) has a lot of give, and so the next time you see it on here I might just have taken it in with some darts... I want this dress fitted!

The bow goes straight down the middle, but could I get a picture of that this morning? No, I could not! ;)

That dress is so seriously awesome!! What a perfect shade of green :-D

The shoes are killer too - Do you think they've still got those in Target? I'm currently on a black shoe hunt for winter as one pair does not cut it.

And I always have the trouble with linen too, silk linen would have even more give I imagine!

The combination of pink and green is unusual (reminds me of my old school uniform) but this is really nice! You're really lucky in that your hair colour and skin tone set off such a wide variety of colours so gorgeously!

this is the second green dress I have seen this morning and it has cemented the fact that I need a green dress in my wardrobe. I love the pink bow. It looks great!

Wow, that dress is beeeeautiful. I love how your overall style is so polished and... well I sort of want to say consistent, but that sounds kind of boring. What I mean, is that you seemed to have worked out what your style is and it suits you so well, whereas I feel like I haven't worked out what I want my style to be yet!
