vintage jade green dress

Photobucket

It was cold enough again to wear a dress I bought months and months ago but hadn't worn yet. This soft wool dress reminds me of those secretaries from Mad Men (seasons 1 & 2) and this, for me, is a good, good thing... for its first day out, it went with my palest vintage fully fashions (no stark seams today), my pearl Melissa shoes and a 1950s pearl brooch.

I have been very quiet online lately, and this is because I have started working at one of Melbourne's best vintage shops... my dream job! A bunch of other things (fun things) have been taking up my time on my days off, but I am settling in to a new routine and should be getting back into blog visiting soon :)

I've begun to collect brooches too. I think they are great for putting a bit of spark into a outfit. :)

What a dreamy outfit. I love the soft colours! And working in a vintage shop - that'd be fantastic! Unfortunately, none of the shops here can really afford to hire anyone.

This is such an amazing ensemble darling! Pale green is really amazing on you.

I also love the pearlescent Melissas. I convinced my best friend to buy a pair of the Vivienne Westwood ones, largely because there is no way I could cram my enormous hooves into them.

She says that they're amazingly comfortable...

Dear M, Congrats on the new job! You are looking as gorgeous as ever - your hair looks lovely - healthy and shiny - wish mine looked like that - I seem to have a bad hair day everyday at the moment! I am loving the green on you by the way. VS x
