minnie!

Photobucket

Again, it has been a little longer than I had hoped, what with unexpected things to take care of. I am very happy that my eyes and face are almost back to normal, but they still aren't quite there – so, sunglasses indoors it is! I am really looking forward to being able to wear eye makeup again, especially now – I have been watching some 1960s French films (Brigit! Anna!) and, along with my new found love (and, erm, new found ability to do them) of bee hives, I want to go-go sixties!

When I posted my floral tights a while ago, some of you asked to see them in an outfit... so, here it is! The days are getting longer here, and the sun suddenly feels much warmer. I even saw some plants starting to blossom. It feels so spring-y! The florals seem to be right for this tease – we are still very much in winter, and have a good few weeks to go :)

As I am staying as chemical free as possible at the moment (I've no idea what caused my allergic reaction – oh, I forgot to say, it was just a reaction to something, I've just no idea what) I haven't been setting my hair... which means straight hair... which finally got me of my arse and doing a hair bow! I had been meaning to do one for ages, but never quite got round to it. I followed a tutorial by the amazing Violet LeBeaux and am chuffed with my new hair do. However, I am back to thinking I want a fringe (Brigit and Anna are of course somewhat encouraging) and, as I am going to the hair dressers soon, maybe I'll do it..!

ps I have updated my sales blog :) This time, cute dresses and tops! You can find it here

What an inspiration you are on a rainy cloudy day on my side of the sea! We had a real spring tease of a day yesterday but are back to doom and gloom. I adore the colours of your outfit and the hair bow is so cute

anna karina, my favourite actress. the films she starred in really made me love the 60s even more, and BB was wonderful aswell.

As for you, I hope you get better with that eye of yours, take care x

Those tights are incredible! Do you have any idea where your friend got them? I find it so hard to get interesting tights in Australia.

I'm definitely feeling you on the mysterious reaction front! 6 months, 3 doctors, 2 dermatologists, a week of patch testing and over a thousand dollars later I still don't know what causes mine :( I hope yours goes away soon... Have you switched any skincare products recently? I once was using a cleanser that didn't cause a reaction itself, but made me super sensitive to perfumes so I developed a rash after using them.

Love the hair bow! That's one thing naturally dead straight hair is perfect for!

The hair bow is just gorgeous! love it :-)
I've just rediscovered my love of the 60's as well. Sadly my hair isn't quite long enough for anything remotely beehivey or brigitte bardot esque :-( sticking to the liquid liner lol

How about getting a fake fringe? I just got one (out of real hair) since I've decided not to go trough the whole 'to cut or not to cut, decide to cut and wait for it to grow out again'-thing once more...Haven't used it yet since it's been so hot here, it's nicer with the hair out of the face then. Fiona looks great in hers:

Love tha hair bow, I used to do one but my hair is a bit too short for a proper bow right now.
