jumpers and berets, and yes, a bow

sage beret bow a

My simple post-titling is actually starting to get a bit tricky...

Although we are now in Spring Proper here, the weather has still been pretty cold for a lot of the time. Which is, you know, fine, of course. i don't expect the weather to just snap into something new because we think the calendar demands it. So, keeping warm... I have gloves, and I have hats. This was a hat day. It was also a flat shoes day; these are new from topshop.com and I love them – this whole 1960s thing is really getting to me, in the nicest way :)

hat, jumper/sweater // vintage

I like this! Why choose between a hat and a hair bow when you can wear both?

that bow is necessary. i love the look of that bag in the corner, can we see more?

You look totally stunning! The hair/bow/beret combination is so pretty, and I love the look of those pretty t-straps with the thick ribbed stockings.

I adore your vintage look! That sweater and skirt are so perfect with those shoes, and the beret is adorable!

I really love your long haired fringe, it's very lovely and so versatile!

Moving to Melbs midwinter caught me out fash-wise, and I'm HANGING out for warmer weather (or sewing mad to fill the gap!) xoxo

You're looking gorgeous as ever darling. Loving the neutral tones in this ensemble.

I'm relishing the residual cold while I still can, and hoping that it will drag out well and truly into Septmber (maybe even October...).

Summer is not my cup of tea at all.

Wow, I am so envious of your lovely skin. Your make-up is perfect. What foundation do you wear?

hehe I hadn't really thought of these colours as diffilcult or whatever, I just like my sage-y jumper ;)

vintage belle: it is not very lovely at the moment, believe me ;) I am using a Shu Umera foundation at the moment, it's... ok. I am going to post about it very soon :)

Grsnt: I totally agree! I actually dread summer every. single. year. I wouldn't mind a bit more winter really, so much to wear! I am only in the swing of it now, too :)

Veronica Darling: yep Melbs really does get pretty cold for a hot country, doesn't it! In a couple of weeks though it'll be warm :)

jenni: exactly! And attaching a bow to my hair has nothing to do with hiding pins, oh no... ;)

Great, I'll be keeping my eye out for your post about the foundation. I'm usually a redhead (now brunette) and have very pale/freckly skin so I'm always on the lookout for pale foundations but there are not many out there! I'll definitely look into Shu Umera. Thanks for the tip :)
