velvet, flowers

velvet flowers 1

music cream white room

I feel like I am only half here at the moment. Maybe even only a quarter. I have a lot on, including some photo-taking, and the weather is not complying with my timetable! ;) It rained all day, literally. But what can you do. Well, one thing I did do was try my new velvet dress, which arrived today. I should be buying things for summer, of course, if I am getting anything at all, but as per usual for this time of year I find myself drawn to autumny and wintery things. And with our weather here being so, uh, varied (see, I am not complaining) I might just be able to wear my new, wintery, next year things now. But hopefully just the once.

Wow that dress is a really pretty shape! I love how the flowers on the waist match up with the flowers on your elbows! Great find :-)

I love this dress! I also buy really unseasonal clothes - I always say if you don't buy it when you see it it'll be gone when you want it at the right time!

This look suits you perfectly! (And yet so does 40s/50s pin-up!) What a lovely dress, too. I love the embroidery - such a nice contrast to the black velvet.

Ohh, what a pretty dress. Velvet's so pretty.
I love how fluidly you can transition between fashion eras-- you're so cute in all your 40s/50s stuff, of course, but these folksy 60s looks are equally striking!
