pink summer dress

pink checks a

A summer dress from last year.

pink checks b

After a weekend in the country and temperatures dropping to 0C (erm, probably... well, it was really cold, really really cold! As in wear your snow suit cold) today I was back to work in glorious 29C and sunshine! I think this is a bit of a problem with dressing in Melbourne; I find I need a lot of wintery stuff, and then a good-sized summery wardrobe, too. From now until, say, April, it is mostly going to be hot. Ah well, guess I am justifying a bit of shopping, then. And that is such a shame... ;)

Oh, yes, I nearly forgot – these are my second pair of Remix Vintage Shoes... I got the Ritas in ivory, too. They really are the best summer shoes I have ever had. Now I have two peep toe pairs, I am (already) thinking about a pair (or two) of their close toed heels for after summer. Planning ahead, you see. And getting that wintery wardrobe ready!

My gosh - I love the little bird on this dress!!
And the shoes are gorgeous!
Yes... I'm sort of preparing for winter after realisation that I have barely any pants that fit me anymore haha.
That's what you get for spending the previosu three winters co-incidentally in far north QLD.

That dress is so beautiful and quintessentially summer! What a nice image to open up when it's close to -20C in Toronto. Can't wait for warmer weather!

Ah, Re-Mix! I've been eyeing their numerous pretties off for a long time. How did you go about sizing? Do they seem pretty true to standard sizes? It looks like yours fit perfectly.

Thanks, Jess

Jealous! It's so cold here in N. Europe, though we do have the joys of January sales coming soon (preparing for summer wardrobe again, yay!). Are you thrilled to get out all your summer stuff again? I've been trying to cull some old wrecked stuff, but it's hard to get the motivation. I managed to go through my undies collection, but can't face the actual clothes mountain : ( My rule is no cull = no new stuff. Sad face!!

Did you know... I looked through your archives yesterday, so it's unexpected to see this dress again just a day (rather than a something like a year) later! It was really interesting to see how your hair has grown (!) and how your style has become refined (and probably more 'you' perhaps?) since 2008. But sweet, you could never go wrong, you're absolutely gorgeous. Ack! :p I also liked having more to read...there was mention of a fiance..? Oh I know, privacy please! But tell me, when did you move from Europe to Melbourne? And.. what is it that you do there? Oh and regarding this post, did you have a nice weekend in the countryside, were you... tenting in 0 C?! Australia's so big I'm told the culture and the weather can seem to differ so greatly at one time that it's like being on a different continent, and it certainly sounds that way. Hey that's enough from me. Love love e.
