raspberries before dinner

raspberry dots c

Before we went out, we made gin and tonics and added some raspberries we got a few hours ago from the markets. They were delicious alone, and good in the gin too.

I changed into my red dot dress – do you know, I don't really have enough summer dresses?! Time to sort that out.

Down with the g&t and then off to brave the now even windier weather. It's ok, I managed to hold my skirt down from this shot on! I should have had my hair up, though, as it got blown all over the place – and completely out of place – on the way. It's getting so long now, it's out of control. I will get it cut soon, but that's such a chore. Ugh. But anyway... dinner was delicious. We had a really nice time. We actually took photos of each other – you know, little happy snap ones as you do sometimes. I am thinking about putting pics like that up here sometimes – if you'd like to see them? I do like out-and-about pics on other blogs.

Edit: dress from Vivien of Holloway

Hey Esme. Out-and-about photographs would be an absolute treat. I love seeing the day to night time outfits, hair and make-up in these last two posts. You are dazzling and just get it perfect everytime! Where will you start looking for more summer dresses? I adore your new Bernie Dexter dress, but would never have found her site myself. What other treasure troves do you visit?

My pin curls dried in NO time thanks to Saturday's heat... and this weekend I also tried less curls (but used product) so I have longer hair this time round. I hate when it goes all really short and Shirley Temple on me, when I'm trying to grow it and look older!

Now, aren't you a vision in that red polkadot dress! You're so so pretty:)

Thanks very much! :) ANd out-and-about pics might just make it up here, then :) x

Emma: I've got really lazy, so I shop a lot online, or in local vintage shops :)

Veronica Darling: hehe I know what you mean! This heat is good for a few things, at least: drying clothes and drying hair :D

Carys: it is! It to very long in the body though, even after I shortened the halter strap, so I can't say it is perfect for me – or anyone under about 5'11'', it seems!

Esz: oh, cool, thanks! It feels nice to post about all different things :)

SUeper and Rosie-Alia and Penny Dreadfull: yes, gin is great, and extra good with raspberries. Do it :D

Aourell: I am naturally really quite fair haired, a light reddish brown. I am thinking of going red for a while! I love being a raven though :)

Yum, the raspberries sound like a great addition to the g & t. I made raspberries in champagne jelly for NYE and it was delicious - so I look forward to trying your idea. And I bet the pink drink looked a treat against your fab polka dot dress!
