hair in a back roll, red shoes, and flowers...

cream skirt red shoes h

Today I spent Thursday a little differently to how I usually do. And much better than normal it was, too. I met up with my loved one for coffee, and saw some more lovely faces, too.

I wore my cream maxi skirt, a black floral blouse I got the other day, my new red shoes and some new hair flowers. And a newly op-shopped cardigan. A lot of new-olds, then! I love the print on this 1970's blouse. It reminds me of late deco floral prints. I love the black, red, light blue and cream colours together, too.

Melbourne looks great in Spring, and I think new hair flowers are most appropriate. Especially when they match my pedicure exactly.

I LOVE my new red shoes. I ended up walking a lot more than I had planned to today, and I am very happy to find that they are really, really comfortable! I also love my back roll, too. I have re-found the joys of hair rats, and I see a good bit more use from them to come! x

Soo beautiful! I adore how wonderfully free the outfit feels. The colors are perfect, the red in the shoes especially, how delightful. Your hair looks great, I love rolling my hair up in the back, I especially love the front of it with the flowers.

Em

You look marvelous - as always! :) I use rats to roll up my hair sometimes too. I actually make my own by collecting the hair stuck in my brush (I have one of those made of horse hair - or something like that), cleaning it thoroughly, and letting it dry. When I have enough for a rat I put it in a hair net. Since it's my own hair, they go well with the hair on my head + they're easy to wash! :)

What lovely pink fleurs you have! I have a bit of an obsession with dusky pink hair flowers. I panic about loosing mine. What a loser!

Back roll looks wondrous - I must practice this more. It is such a lovely do for my office dolly persona (read: staring out the window in a suit)

Oh, I love that house you took the picture of in Collingwood! I walk home past it every day and never fail to look longinly at how pretty the house is. The kids that live there are lovely too and always chat to me when I walk past. I feel if only I could live in a house like that my life would be perfecto.

Also, awesome hair!

The hair looks fantastic! And the shoes are great - woo yay for red.

I ended up splurging on the sparkly red Dorothy shoes. They should arrive next week - can't wait to wear them!

And yes, Melbourne is pretty in Spring, when we get those lovely warm but not too hot days.
