1930's shell dress

You may remember a little while ago I showed you a nice pink and yellow parcel I received? Well, here it is! It's a 1930's pink dress, with black and white sea shells (love!) and the original black celluloid buttons and belt buckle.

I also tried a different way of setting my hair, which suddenly feels too long and too out of control – not in a good way. The new set gave me good curls that lasted most of the day but I am definitely long overdue a hair cut. I am just deciding how short to go..!

Very cute and loving the detail on the belt buckle. It's those little touches that really set off a piece.

ooooh such a pretty dress! I bet its super comfy too!!

I think I need one of those remotes too - since I've taken over Jonny's camera. It's only got one that you attach to the body and you can set it to go off at intervals. Not bad but there's still a bit of "it's-gonna-shoot-better-pose-in-time" which is annoying.

I really enjoy looking at your pics! You're very photogenic and I love the way you style each of your outfits. Especially love this dress! So pretty. I noticed you take your own pics. I take the majority of mine too but it gets tricky without a tripod & remote. I must use my husband's SLR Digital camera with a remote. What camera do you use?

I think your curls look beautiful here and not long and wild at all. That said though, I completely understand what you mean by feeling like your hair is way too long. I've just had a good inch cut off mine and it's made the world of a difference.

Wow, your dress is a dream! The colour complements your pretty pale skin so well. I think your hair looks lovely this length, but I am curious to see what you will decide! :)

Wonderful dress and your hair is fabulous, but I understand the need for a change, any way hair gorws back.
Just go for it.

Your hair is so pretty! I'm not going to say don't cut it too short or anything, because I love short hair. I had a Winona Ryder style pixie cut for 5 years and I loved it. I'm sure whatever you do will be lovely.

Oh, I love that dress! The colour looks amazing against your hair and complexion. My hair has also just taken that turn into too long and unmanageable territory. Isn't it funny how one day it looks great and then suddenly the next you can't do a thing with it? Although, if mine looked like yours I'd be very happy!

The color of this dress is so pretty on you! I just chopped all my hair off into a bob..and immediately started growing it back out again ;) I'm never satisfied with the length!

I think your hair goes well with the 70s look, but is maybe too long for the 40s. But you are really beautiful :)

Your hair is stunning! Long hair is so lovely, but I know what you mean about styling it when it gets that length. I'll be interested to see what you do with it - currently letting mine grow!
