vintage dress, joanne mercer wedges
This is from a few days ago, when I wore this 1940's candy cane stripe dress to a local vintage shop. I've had this dress for a few years and still love it. The cotton has just gone beyond that point of delicious softness and is now tearing like tissue paper, so this might have to become a pattern quicker than my coral-pink-big-white-buttons dress. The style is perfect for summer! I got a great vintage party dress and a 1960's swimsuit at the shop, which is unusual for me; I hardly ever buy things from real life shops these days. Maybe this dress is lucky!

A shame when a much loved dress starts to wear. I have a couple myself that I'm having trouble parting with. Plus I think you've got more red shoes than me - and that's saying something :)

Gorgeous dress - I love the buttons at the back. It's such a shame it's starting to tear. So heartbreaking when that happens! And I hardly buy anything from physical shops either, these days.
