yellow and black and bows

yellow and black bow b
yellow jumper :: topshop
black emabellished bow :: asos
skirt :: tailored by Top Runway, a couple of years ago now

So, I share my summer dresses, and we get a week of cold weather! Nevermind. It means I got to wear some of my Christmas presents (from me, to me, happy Christmas to meeee) and enjoy the opposite of all the flouncy, florally girlyness that summer so often demands of me. And I like a good contrast.

I bought myself – wait, I'm counting, with fingers – three jumpers and two cardigans over the past month, to really fix up a fair sized hole in my wardrobe. It was perfect timing, because the ones I like are on trend (terrible term, I can't wait for it to be passe) at the moment. Fashion can be your friend!

This one is from Topshop. I had been looking at it for a week or two, and was chuffed when it went on sale. The contrasting collar can have a very 1930's feel, especially when a bow is added. I can see a few different things being added over time!

Sooooo cute! I love that top. And the colour looks amazing on you....so pretty :)
(unfortunately I can't wear yellow- I have olive skin, and it tends to make me look a bit green and sick lol).

I love the colors of your outfit! They are so lovely together. I can't believe your crazy weather! I once experienced snow is May, which is springtime (almost summer) for me. It was rather bizarre. Still love your hair :)

You look so so lovely! Five years ago I wouldn't say I was a big yellow lover, but now... it's one of my favourite colors!!

That skirt is fab :-) Grey is such a great neutral too - goes with just as many things as black but there's so much variety in the different shades of grey. :-)

Yay for finding some nice cardis. I had some success at that Ginger Tree outlet store. I may have mentioned it to you before? They stock "older lady" brands but the clothes are great quality if you can find the nice things amongst the frumpy.
