a saturday in autumn

black flowers This is what my yesterday, Saturday, was like. Our Autumn weather is more like perfect summer weather at the moment, and it's really nice. Much better than actual summer here! bed hair >>>I wore a late 1930's, possibly very early 1940's, pale pink dress and added a red flower. What to do with my hair? Yeah, Saturday mornings are hard, guys. I am going to have curls again next week, and I'm SO excited about it! No, seriously! coffee and cake melbourne Coffee and cake are a pretty good start to the day. This is at Penny Farthing in Northcote, one of our favourite cafes. They do such amazing coffee. drink Discover that my shoes fit into the kids' foot markers at the crossing. It's ok, I promise I won't become one of those irritating "Aahhm just so tiny!" types! little feet Northcote is really beautiful. butterfly iron lace pink vintage dress satchel pink vintage dress red pink and purple >>>And I met a mini wolf! wolfy dog como-house-e >>>We went to an art gallery and then on to Como House, where there was a vintage sale. Como House is really beautiful, and the gardens are amazing. Interior inspiration! como house b como house a >>>There was a coffee machine that involved a bike – I think it could be ridden to different places. Delicious chai latte. como house d >>>And as you can see, my shellac manicure is still immaculate! I think it's going to grow out faster than it can wear off..! como house g como-house-f >>>After a final walk through the gardens, we went home to make beef stew. Hope you had great Saturdays too! como house h

Ooh, which mascara are you wearing here? Still an Australis one?

I really like your new hair, by the way. Looks fab against that dress. =)

Such beautiful photos and your dress is super lovely. I had a very similar type of day recently too hehe! I can never get enough of gardens. Great bag x

The weather has just been glorious lately! Did you find much at the vintage sale? I'd planned on going but decided I didn't really need the temptation. Your dress is lovely too - perfect for this weather. It matches your manicure too ;-)

Oh and I like the gifs! Have you seen those cinemagraphs on From Me to You? They're amazing. Look! http://fromme-toyou.tumblr.com/ & http://cinemagraphs.com/

Absolutely beautiful, Esme. Your pink dress is a fave for me.

I cringe at the 'so tiny' women. Argh!! x

the dress is superb, where is it from, may I ask? You have an impeccable eye for 30s and 40s fashion. Cute "mini wolf"

Your hair looks gorgeous - the colour looks so lovely.

I'm getting a shellac manicure in the next few weeks - will be so happy if it lasts as long as yours!

Tell me you didn't eat chocolate cake for breakfast.

I am really liking the red hair. How are you finding it? Every time I have gone red I struggle with lippy colours and clothes colours.

Excelent news re my foster kittens. I have doubled them from 400gms each to 800gms each. They go to their new home on Thursday (together) with two little boys. Yippee.

Those shoes are amazing, especially with the matching flowers! I don't think my feet would ever fit in the kids' foot markers...

I'm a little bit in love with that bag! It's vintage style but I see from your comment replies that it's actually from ASOS. I might need to look it up! :)
