moving furniture, things to come – and thank you

thank you and giveaway plans thank you and giveaway plans 2
I have a new place to take photos! No, don't worry, they won't all be reflections in mirrors. When I got home yesterday I was pretty tired and had a lot of things to do so I decided that it was a GREAT time to move all the furniture around in my room. It's one of those rooms where you feel like it should be easy to get things to fit, but then find that they don't quite work after all; there's a window, or a door, or the built-in robes in the way, or the one plug socket can't be reached from here, or the room gets to dark with that there... do you know what I mean?

The darkness was a bit of a problem for taking photos, especially as we are heading into winter now and have lots of gloomy days ahead. I swapped everything over and this seems to be working much better! I even moved the dressing table all by myself, thanks to Ugly Carpet underneath. As soon as we get these floorboards finished, Ugly Carpet will be gone. Yes!

And soon I want to post my hair tutorial video, once my thumb is better. I want to post about what happened to my thumb – well, no, not exactly, that would be a bit gross – but I actually want to post about my new rug and a lipgloss, as that is what caused it! You'll see!

But really why I am posting is to say thank you. You are the best readers and I am so happy to have you sharing everything with me! I love to read your comments and they make me so happy – and really cheer me up if I've have a hard day. The past six months have been pretty hard but things are finally improving and in lots of ways are starting to look really good!

I have lots of give aways lined up for you, and I can't wait to get started with them! Give aways have been a bit thin on the ground lately round here and I look forward to being able to really show my appreciation :) x

Hi hon, this is a bit of a random question, but do you live in St Kilda East by any chance? I was just reading some of your blog posts and recognised almost all of the outdoor locations, some I swear are around the corner from me! xo Sushi

I know what you mean, my room is the same, I always find difficult to find a proper place to take good pictures, plus it's usually too dark (my walls are quite dark, even if its a dusty pink, its still not white, so it makes a difference), or too bright (especially after 1pm when the sunglight is coming straight through my window). But I also like to reorganize it just to change something from time to time, my furniture never lasts long in one place haha :) Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog, have a nice day! :)

Like the braid in your hair. And the black pullover with the white shirt underneath. Looks as if you're a really good girl. I love that good girl looks. Best wishes from Germany!

I'm a newbie to your blog but I'm glad that you are feeling better. I too have been somewhat down the past couple of months due to health reasons but am on the mend. Here's to brighter days :)

Hello, lovely Esme! Greetings from Nashville, Tennessee. I found your blog about a week ago, and I'm enjoying it so much that I wanted to say hi and introduce myself (lurking feels so weird). Your outfits and makeup are inspiring, and I'm looking forward to reading more. I'm especially curious about how you redecorated your room. Interior design is probably the ONLY thing I like more than pretty outfits. :)

Have a happy day.

I'm sorry to read that the last 6 months have been rough. I must have missed the posts explaining why. But regardless, glad to hear that things have turned a corner. Which is always nice, although if things were always fabulous, we wouldn't know how to appreciate them, I always figure. Need a comparison.

I love this shot - it is so atmospheric. The green of the walls gives it an almost ethereal light.
