backyard projects and good hair days; what's inspiring me right now

esme pinterest jan2013 I have just been spending a luxuriously quiet hour or so on Pinterest, gathering some some ideas and inspiration. At the moment, I am thinking about beautiful hair – in particular red hair, a la Rita Hayworth – and summer foods, calm interiors and my next big project at home: doing up our backyard. I can imagine a stripy umbrella over a wooden table, wear we'd sit on striped cushions on the wooden chairs and eat dinner on warm summer evenings, lit with joyfully kitchy fairy lights strung in lush greenery. Ok, there's obviously going to have to be some anti-mozzy gadget somewhere there too, but you take the good with the bad in life, I think!

Rita Hayworth looks absolutely stunning on that pic - her hair is gorgeous (wish I could get mine to curl that well!)

How amazing would it be to live in that blue building. So beautiful.
I coloured me hair red this past September and I love it. Every time I go back I ask for more copper and I think it might be at the shade Rita had it.

Meg Eileen Carroll: haha yes it doesn't look cheap! :D

Cecily: I wish we could swap, I'm ready for a bit of cold already :)

miss.love2807: yep, very true! :) Good luck with the move! Decorating and such is more fun than I first though.

Mancunian Vintage: it does, but it must have had a zillion people getting it just so :)

Stefanie: such a gorgeous shade! There really is something lovely about red hair x

Mrs. Williams: I think it'll work, and not be too costly. I love the colours in the bottom photo, so well planned.

You might like this. Anne Peterson's 'scandals' series is seriously addictive. Liz Taylor article good too:
