pale pink summer vintage dresses

pink purple l So last weekend – wait, the weekend before – ok! – I finaaaaaallly wore this pale pink vintage dress for the first time.

It had been hanging in my room since around Chrsitmas time – and yes, it was a Christmas present from me to me, happy Christmas to meeeee – and was often in the background of my photos, and I know a few of you wanted to see more.

And here it is!

I'd been a bit... cautious? no. Thoughtful..? yes, that's more like it, about buying this one, as, well, it's pale pink. I love pale pink but would I want to wear it?

I gave it a go and the answer is a resounding yes. I LOVE it! It's made by Madeleine Fauth, and it feels just beautiful to wear. So much so I want to introduce more pale pink to my wardrobe! Plus it was an absolute bargain so I am a happy chicken all round.

I wore it here with a belt from a late 1940's dress and my buy-of-the-summer Big W platforms, as I wanted to add a touch of black into it all.

I think this one will look good layered for winter too, which, apparently, is coming... expect to see more of it soon..! pink purple f pink purple g pink purple e pink purple a pink purple d

What a lovely dress - it looks like it fits like a glove!

The bodice detailing is exquisite... and yes it would look lovely teamed with grey accessories for the colder weather.
