my sharp life video

black floral vintage dress hello It's finally time – the video I made with Sharp is live! I was TERRIFIED of watching this for the first time. I got the link to it when I was home alone and it took a good half hour for me to take a deep breath and click play. And... it's good! Plus you get to see heaps of Babycat in it which is, as far as I am concerned, excellent. You can watch it here. And listen to my deeeep, seeeerious voice. I wonder if I always sound that serious? I think that's most unlikely. At least I kept my eyebrow waggling under control.

I think it is so, so good how blogging yourself makes you get more comfortable about these things. Almost everyone I know cringes at the thought of hearing themselves on voice mail, and far too many of my friends hate having their picture taken. Isn't it sad how we can dread seeing ourselves from the outside so much? I LOVE that doing this has made me feel so much better about it all. Seeeeerious voice and everything!

The pic is from my weekend away, when I'd just arrived and unpacked and was checking out the ensuite so that I didn't fall asleep on the couch. I was super tired from the drive – even though I was just a passenger, not even navving – and my camera wasn't cooperating, hence serious face... which might just match something after all... oh oh OH!

Great video Marianne! Your voice is not too deep, ha ha! Baby cat is a cutie for sure. I was reading your blog the other day and my husband looked over my shoulder and asked when I will start wearing red lipstick!

What a great peek into your life!! I loved seeing Babycat in action! And your serious voice is lovely!

You sound very charming, your voice isn't deep at all! You should hear my voice, it's verrrrry deep. My family runs our family business out of our home and growing up, whenever I answered the phone, the person on the other end thought I was my dad on several occasions! Anyway, I loved your video :)

It's so wonderful to see you in videos! I think your accent is really sweet (and you don't have such a deep voice). I also thought babycat's reaction to the vacumm was pretty cute! x

I love it! May I say that it is so very interesting to see the same sorts of things in video that you usually depict in photos. I agree with your statement about being so afraid to see ourselves from the outside. You are lovely as always.

Oohh its wonderful! I'm impressed you managed to pull not a single crazy facial expression, I can't manage it in still photography, let alone in video!

Seeing someone in a video gives a whole new perspective! It's so strange seeing you... move! You look (and sound) great and I agree, I'm glad there's some Babycat action in there too :)

I forgot I wasn't the only one who raises my eyebrows all over the place. Haha. In my opinion there should have been some eyebrow action. ;)

p.s. your hair always looks immaculate, do you have any pin curl patterns you could share?

Oh, this video is just fantastic! Everything looks so perfect and ideal. And Yes, you've got right-Babycat is the fluffiest cat in the world! I love cats, and I really want to have one!

It was very odd to hear how intimidated you are about hearing your own voice or seeing yourself in videos. For someone whom presents herself with copious amounts of confidence it was puzzling. You are so wonderful in so many ways you shouldnt be so hard on yourself.
Thank you for sharing dear, XO's

Oh such fantastic videos! And very helpful mind you. I cannot wait to try your pincurling technique. I've practiced before but have always had trouble brushing them out, and end up brushing to the point where there are no curls anymore! So I am really looking forward to trying the trick with brushing around the hand. Thanks!
