roses in my hair (and trips down memory lane)

rose-pink-hair c
Isn't it funny when you look back at things you've done years ago? I mean in a nice way (mostly!) (hahaha!) and it's something I really value about having a blog. I don't do it very often but I wanted to do a hair style that I remembered I had tried to do way back in one of my first ever blog posts. About 5 years ago! Oh woah woah wow!

And I remember that when I did that blog post, I was trying to actually do something with my hair that I'd wanted to do for years and years before that. I'd decided it was time to at least get started, to get to grips with it!

The style I wanted was candy floss – cotton candy, fairy floss – hair studded with flowers. And I realised, now, with my pastel coloured hair – especially as right now it is pastel pink, the candy floss pink hair I'd wanted all those years ago – that I should put what I've learned over the years (and now take for granted!) to use, and do this style!

old rose hair
Here is the first post from what feels like a thousand lifetimes ago. And I'd even kept the original flowers, so I could use them again! And no, that's not my natural hair colour, hehe.

It was a last minute thing, a spur of the moment dicison to do it there and then as I was on my way out so I didn't have much time to do it, but it made me realise how I've learned to do my hair, and make it do what I want it to do – and how much I wanted to be able to do this and couldn't way back then! It was a really fun trip down memory lane. Memory lane way..! Ha! I loved it! What do you think?

Beautiful! I have platinum hair also but with a blue tinge to it. I understand the revisiting thing completely! I remember the first time I tried to do a beehive when I was a teenager and ended up with a knotty mess. I tried it many times over the years and finally can get just the right amount of small lift for work and big lift for going out

How beautiful! The flowers are perfect with your candyfloss colour. I'd love to have fun with colouring my hair, but I'm horribly allergic to hair dye, and henna makes such a mess! Maybe I should just concentrate on making some of those elegant twirls and swirls. XX

Oh, it looks fantastic! And it really makes me feel better about my shy tries on hairdos, to be honest. Sometimes it's good to be reminded that even the most successful people (you're kind of my hairdo role model, it's probably creepy, sorry) have started somewhere.

And I'm always fascinated how you look so good with all the hair colors!

So nice to hear that you've finally been able to create the hairstyle that you wanted to so many years ago now that you have the perfect colour for it. It looks divine!

That looks lovely with the pink hair.

I'm exactly the same with hair. Now I can knock up an elaborate looking do in 5 minutes, but 5 years ago when I could barely get it to stay in a bun! It's amazing how quickly you learn the skills when you start playing around!

your current colour is so nice! i want! but don't have the skin(tone) to go with it. and my orange hair makes me happy...
you are definitely blessed with good skin, hair, features, looks,... and personality (i hope:-))

Magical, sweet-as-sugar, and just as lovely as can be!

*PS* Are those beautiful little flowers perchance Kaisercraft and/or Prima? They look super similar to ones from those brands that I use in my paper crafting. :)
