I loved wearing my makeup like this, and it was funny using hair gel to stick glitter to my face like I did in my teens. But smiling with the pointy lip line is, for me, a no no! Tres scary. And anyway, the flapper has to have a petulant pout, right? Right! Oh, yes, I rouged my knees. No rolled stockings though, I don't have the right garters. But luckily it wasn't a cold night! I promise I was in a good mood, despite the sulky face... and I had fun!

flapper party: what I wore
I'm glad you enjoyed the last post, now here is what I wore to the Gatsby party! It was really fun getting into fancy dress. It really helped me get out of the house too; I made sure I got ready a bit early so that I wouldn't change my mind and end up staying home. I wore a vintage pink dress and a loose rust coloured sheer silk tank top over it to hide the defined waist, my sparkly tbar heels, a sheepskin shrug and a silver sequin hat that I just had in a drawer somewhere. You know, as you do. It came in handy as I hadn't set my hair the night before, thinking I wouldn't be able to go..! Oh, and a string of pearls and a flower were added for the finishing touch. I was pretty chuffed (and amused!) that I had everything I needed for it!
