new shoes and new loves

snakies c I got some new shoes last week. Practical closed toe and comfortable heel height – chunky wooden heel, of course – and a round toe, in a pale colour. In pale snakeskin, at that! After years of not being too interested in it, I've developed a love for it. I think that's the way it goes; you don't care much for something for so long and then bam, it's for you! I love how these will go so well in warmer weather and in winter, too. And the pink lining is a plus. Why it's a plus, I don't know, but it is ! Here they are with a favourite colour combo of mine at the moment, pale blue and mustard. Will wear more of this soon. Have you ever not liked something and then changed your mind? snakies a snakies b snakies e snakies f

cute shoes....I love wooden heels :)
I always despised pink when I was younger (was a real tomboy in my youth, lol). But as Ive gotten older, I now really like it. I think my mum is now relieved that Im finally embracing my girly side lol ;)

Gorgeous shoes! :) I could never get into patterned or block colored tights, until I found a burgundy pair I had to try and then I was hooked! :) Lovely blog, one of my favorites! :)D xxx

I like the pink lining :) & I love your stockings - mustard has really grown on me recently (that doesn't sound right does it? lol)

I had a pair of clogs/mules a few years ago that my Mum more or less talked me into buying & I ended up wearing them until they literally fell apart (the soles cracked, after several years wear).

Lovely shoes - especially the heel. I know what you mean about the lining - a real plus, but why?! Your tights are also great - the colour for one thing but also the subtle embossed pattern that I did not notice at first. It's definitely tights weather in the UK now: it has been for me a for a little while - as soon as the swethering tempretaures came to an end - but now it's for everyone. K x

What lovely shoes! These look so perfect and classical but with a twist. Probably they can be worn with a lot of things.

I think in clothing style the "never say never" saying applies, or at least it is so in my personal case. I frequently find myself wearing things that just a few years before that I said I would never wear. For example, I used to dislike yellow strongly but now I wear it frequently (with blue a lot of times), then there were times when I could not imagine myself without at least three necklaces and now I wear one and the same for years (gift from my most special person). The list is endless. At one point I said that I will not wear leopard print...and now I am craving for a good scarf of that print.

I think it shows the style evolving and it is a very good thing!

I love the mustard patterned
tights and I love the idea of teaming mustard and light blue. Must try that next time. I've never thought about snakeskin heels but they're looking good on you.

Magnificent shoes and tights (that pattern is glorious!). Like yourself, I've never been a big snakeskin print fan, but when it's in a tame, pale shade like this, I'd happily take snake out for a spin, too. :)

‪The Dainty Dolls House‬ : thanks :) I'm just getting back into tights (as in colourful ones) too, funny how these things come and go and come back again :)

‪Jessica Cangiano‬ : sometimes it just seems so right – it seems so classic and vintage inspired and modern at the same time.

‪Natalie Mulford‬ : thanks! Isn't it a good combo? Mustard and its unexpected friends! :D
