black and white, sunshine, and heavenly windows
Last Saturday, I woke up and decided we just had to have pancakes for breakfast. John agreed, as did Babycat. She smiled, hoping to get a little bit of pancake too. The first pancake had a heart on it! I broke my usual habit of lemon juice and sugar and had lemon curd on mine. Babycat's wish came true (lemon curd free)... ... and she was very pleased. I decided to wear my new vintage black and white dress, and the pattern made me think of Brigitte Bardot. I strayed from my familiar makeup, too, and did dark eyes and pale lips – and as always, I soon missed the red lips! But it's fun to do something different every now and then. Sunny! The dress is vintage and is a bit big for me, so the belt comes in handy. It's from Asos. The shoes are from yoox and the scarf is vintage, too. Not-set hair solutions. We got some take away coffee which came in an efficient holder. And went to look at some beautiful windows. Lead light windows are the dream for me! Later we re-feulled with strawberries. And had a couple of drinks before meeting up with some friends. Why, why, why do blueberries sit at the bottom of the glass for a few minutes before bobbing to the top? Happy Saturday all over again! It is cold and rainy today and, don't tell anyone, but I am really enjoying it. I'm going to watch films, tidy up a bit, and have a cozy day at home. Bliss!
